I had collected the Laptop yesterday and had started to use it yesterday. However, I notice that the laptop get hot easily after 30 mins and the laptop fan is blowing out hot air and I oso can feel the keyboard get heated up. Is there something wrong with the laptop or tis is normal? If there is something wrong with the laptop, can I request to change to a new one? Pls advise? Thank you

It is a powerful processor so getting a little warm is normal but if it gets unbearably hot … it might be defective …
Users of 4820, how hot are your notebooks?
IF your using the i7 ones, your 'hot' should be ok. its normal. for such a powerful processor its quite normal to have hot air comming out of the air vent.
Hi! I just collected this laptop yesterday and check at home, everything is working fine but the webcam when i open thru webcam crystal eye program the display is dark and when i wipe the camera it gets clearer in a while and gets darker again, anyone experience the same, please advise. Thanks
it might be the webcam being too sensitive, try moving to another room, turn on your hse lights or update the driver

Yesterday..I was playing Battlefield – Bad Company 2 and the Laptop power off by its own. It not only occur one but twice yesterday. and it also happen ones at the day before yesterday. Is there something wrong with the Laptop?
might be, try to isolate it to either the battery or the ac. if its battery, you might have a defective battery. if its ac, well send it in to acer. since its new, you can get a replacement.
why my Broadband upload speed very low less than 10kpbs??? anyone can help me??

Upload speed is usually a fraction of download speed.
Also, it depends on whether you are on ADSL or Cable, fixed line or mobile … the upload speed also differs.
Best to check with your broadband provider to see if everything is normal.
Is there a way to enhance the webcam or upgrade it ?? My other acer laptop has a better webcam (very clear) though this laptop says this has an ACER CRYSTAL EYE WEBCAM too!

From Acer's website, it seems that Timeline X uses the latest Intel Core i7 processor while Timeline series are based on the older Intel Core 2 platform.
The rest of the parts are mixed and matched so it depends on the model you saw

Singtel T&C doesn’t state any conditions relating to S-Pass holder … only that you need to be the registered owner of the telephone line or have permission from the owner of the telephone line where the Broadband is connected to.
It’s better that you contact Singtel or visit any Hello Shop to verify your eligibility.
