AVA Has Suspended The Import And Sale Of All Milk And Milk Products From China With Immediate Effect
James on September 19th, 2008
Hi Folks,
Breaking News - Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) has suspended the import and sale of all milk and milk products from China with immediate effect as samples of Singapore stocks of two made-in-China milk products have been found to be tainted with the potentially deadly chemical melamine.
Contaminated By Melamine
- Dutch Lady strawberry flavoured milk
- Yili Choice Dairy Fruit Bar Yogurt Flavoured Ice Confection
- White Rabbit Creamy Candy (Updated 22nd Sept 08)
I thought it would happen sooner or later as more reports trickle in that more China made dairy products were found to be contaminated by China authorities.
So for now, just stay away from all China made dairy products - that’s if you can still find it on the shelves.
Cheers,
James
