I have been to a few Kite flying events, mostly with my family … to well, fly kites. But those were usually small scale events.
This Kite Festival Singapore sounds like something of a grander scale with road shows, performances and workshops leading up to the actual event.

sad i missed it
saw the kites on that day, very pretty and interesting sight indeed. i am after a kite that glows in the dark or has lights flashing from the kite while flying at night. may i know where i can buy a kite like that. saw it in the sky before at marina barrage when i was flying my kite. i am not after the ones flown at river valley that comes with a remote control and cost S$200 – S$300 to buy them. it appears to me that they are fairly big ordinary kites with lights flashing from it… very cool indeed in the night especially..

u can buy leds battery operated about sing $25 for a set of 18 flashing leds with clips and install on your kite
