I think Tiger Airways just went INSANE ….. Cos they are offering SGD 1 air tickets.
And it includes Airport taxes and charges!!
So grab them before it’s gone!!

You mean 1-way flying to nowhere then land in Singapore again? I’m afraid not.
I don’t believe in their offers, most of the time there won’t be any tickets for certain destinations, it doesn’t matter how soon we check their website from the ad published time. For an instance, i have seen the ad today morning and checked their website for the offer to chennai and the tickets are not available unitl march 2010( not checked after that, bcoz they mentioned the offer ticket is valid until march 2010!!). Similarly, for Bangalore, it is available only at the end of Feb 2010. It is more of the marketing gimmicks than nothing.

I tried Bangalore …. true enough, I too, could not find any SGD 1 tickets anytime.
But trips to/from KL, Ho Chi Minh City still has SGD 1 tickets so maybe there were hot demands to/from Bangalore and tickets were sold out.
It’s definitely marketing gimmick but tickets are real … just limited in numbers.
With 20,000 tickets distributed among 9 locations over 5 months, each day just gets about fifteen SGD 1 tickets everyday.
It’s a gimmick at best. I checked it out but couldn’t find their $1 fares. For certain destinations it’s $0 but you still need to pay the taxes and surcharges.
If you keep trying out all the dates within the travel period maybe you can spot a $1 fare but like I said it’s a marketing ploy.
Tiger Airways sometimes surpasses itself in inane practices.
I have booked an air ticket on June 4th ,09 and was stillbeing charged for fees and tax. I called in and asked abt the promtoion but the staff was unaware of that promotion and said there’s no such promotion going on. I didnt even know what to say to her as she kept saying there wasnt such a promotion.

BTW, was the ticket you were trying to book a SGD 1 dollar ticket?
