Hi Folks,
This is my Capitol Opitcal Warehouse Sale Review after I went down to their warehouse sale looking for an affordable pair of frame (I don’t really care about brand, as long as it’s an affordable titanium frame) that suits my face (I’ve got a wide face … most frames are too tight for me) and in a color that matches my color season (mainly copper to bronze color tone frame).
But before I get into what I bought … let’s see what they have at their warehouse sale …
Eyewear and Frames Promotion
There are many eyewears on clearance with brands such as Furla, Versus and Sting plus many more at incredibly affordable price like S$88 (including basic clear lens).
If you buy more … like 2 pairs at once, you get an even better deal … just S$128 for 2 pairs (of the same range) – that’s just S$64 for a branded frame with lens.
You also get 20% off if you choose to upgrade your optical lens such as my case where I chose to upgrade from clear lens to Essilor Crizal Transition lens.
Contact Lens Promotion
They also have contact lens promotion such as Bausch And Lomb Softlens promotion (pictured below).
And a general contact lens promotion where you get S$10 off for every S$100 contact lens purchased … great for other brands of contact lens not on promotion.
Sunglasses Promotion
They also have sunglasses going at a fixed price of S$88 from various brands.
My wife bought a pair but I did not (because I’m on transition already … my default eyewear functions as my sunglasses where the need arises).
So What Did I Get?
For me, I got a little better than what I had hoped for.
I ended up with a Pure Titanium Frame with a list price of S$530 selling at only S$128 with the lens thrown in (bundled lens are clear lens under 300 degrees … just top up if you need better glasses … like I did).
It was the only frame that fits comfortably with a color near bronze so I just took it (been searching for 2 months already).
I upgraded the clear lens to a Essilor Crizal Transition 1.6 … the top up was slightly less than S$200 and I ended up paying around S$322 for the frame and lens.
If you think that’s expensive … it’s not.
Compared to prices at optical shops … the transition lens alone would have cost more than what I’ve paid for the frame & lens (even after the optical shops throw in discounts).
So essentially, I got a free pair of pure titanium frame (worth S$530) when I bought the discounted transition lens!!
Not bad for a deal, Right?
(Note : We had an extra 10% discount on Day 1 & 2 … not sure if the discount will be extended on weekends)
